Russian artist Arseny Pyzhenkov, known under the pseudonym Pokras Lampas, sold a photograph of the Chirkei hydroelectric power station in the form of a non-fungible token (NFT) for 16 ETH (about $ 28,000 at the exchange rate at the time of writing).
The auction started from 1 ETH and lasted exactly one day. The user under the pseudonym Sylvian became the owner of the token. This is the first work of Pokras Lampas in the NFT market.
The photo shows the projection of the artist’s drawing “Transition” on the largest in the North Caucasus Chirkei hydroelectric power station, located on the Sulak River in Dagestan.
“The work, the original of which was written on canvas, digitized and adjusted for projection, then projected onto a physical object, digitized again and eventually sold as a virtual token for Ethereum, the production of which is the same electricity. It seems to me that everything has come together perfectly, ”wrote Pokras Lampas.
The artist added that the NFT format supports copyright projects and diversifies work with galleries and brands.
