Binance Hires Former US Senator As Regulatory Advisor

Former US Senator Max Baucus has joined the Binance cryptocurrency exchange as a regulatory advisor. This is stated in the message of the trading platform.

The ex-official will have to maintain communication between the company, American regulators and authorities. Binance expects Bocus’s expertise and support to help grow not only its business, but also the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

Digital assets and blockchain technology are among the most effective forces to transform the global financial system, he said.

Previously, Baucus was a member of the House of Representatives from Montana, and later – the Senate. He chaired the Environment and Finance Committees and was also the US Ambassador to China.

In 2017, the ex-senator said that the PRC has advanced beyond “the standard payment system still used in the United States.”

The former official currently runs a consulting firm in Montana, advising a number of US and Chinese companies. In the past, he worked as an advisor for the Alibaba Group.

We will remind, in February, the former top manager of the online broker TD Ameritrade Sunaina Tuteya became the chief innovation officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.
