The function is available to Twitter users. In the near future, the developers will add Reddit, Discord, Twitch, Telegram and Mastodon, as well as support for fiat currencies.

The BottlePay app is built using the Lightning Network scaling solution. It allows real-time international micro-transfers, tips and donations in bitcoin and fiat currencies.

At the end of 2019, BottlePay announced the closure of the project due to the entry into force of the EU’s Fifth Anti-Money Laundering Directive.

In July 2020, the developers promised to release a beta version of the improved application.

Recall that in February 2021, Bottlepay raised £ 11 million (~ $ 15.5 million) in a seed round with the participation of billionaire Alan Howard, partners of the investment bank Goldman Sachs, venture capital firm FinTech Collective and crypto platform NYDIG.
