Fraudsters lured from a Russian almost 400,000 USD for “bitcoin trading”

A 64-year-old resident of Rubtsovsk became a victim of scammers who posted an advertisement on the Internet about a profitable investment in cryptocurrencies. This is reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Altai Territory.

Within a month, the Russian was transferring money to the balance of the trading platform. The amount on his account was growing, but in order to withdraw funds, the attackers offered to pay an additional commission.

In total, the pensioner transferred 398,000 USD to the false traders.

The police launched an investigation.

Earlier Hodlmonks reported that a resident of Moscow gave scammers 6.7 million USD for a laptop that was supposedly capable of mining bitcoin.
