In the US, another application was submitted to launch a Bitcoin ETF

Asset Management Company WisdomTree filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) an application to launch Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) on the basis of Bitcoin.

WisdomTree Bitcoin Trust’s share price will be calculated based on the CME CF Bitcoin Index, which includes the quotes of the first cryptocurrency on the major spot trading platforms.

WisdomTree intends to list Bitcoin ETF shares on Cboe BZX under the ticker BTCW.

The company did not name who will act as the custodian of the fund’s digital assets. Delaware Trust Company is declared as Trustee.

The Commission is already considering applications for launching exchange-traded funds based on the leading cryptocurrency from VanEck , Bitwise Asset Management , Valkyrie Digital Assets and NYDIG .

Recall that the founder of the crypto bank Galaxy Digital Mike Novogratz is confident that the SEC will approve the Bitcoin ETF this year.

Galaxy Digital has already launched a similar investment vehicle in Canada with CI Global Asset Management .
